Service Area

Short answer

Seventeen named cities and towns, split into two rings with different honest response times. Core ring: on site within four hours on an emergency. Outer ring: same day if you call before noon. We are not going to tell you we cover seventy towns from one location, because nobody can.

Core ring — on site within 4 hours on an emergency

Same day on any call placed before 2pm.

Outer ring — same day before noon

First slot the next morning after that.

Boston neighbourhoods we work in constantly

Seaport, the North End, Back Bay, the South End, Chinatown, Allston, East Boston and Fenway. Each has its own quirks. Seaport buildings mean loading restrictions and street occupancy permits for anything delivered. The North End means basement boxes reached by narrow stairs, which changes what equipment can physically get in. East Boston and the waterfront generally mean salt air, which corrodes condenser coils and evaporator return bends far faster than inland.

Things that are genuinely local to this market

  • Salt air. Harbour-adjacent rooftops in East Boston, the Seaport, Revere, Quincy and Chelsea eat condenser coils. Coil cleaning intervals that work in Framingham are too long on the water.
  • Basement kitchens. Large parts of Boston’s older restaurant stock put the walk-in down a set of stairs. It affects access, equipment size and how a replacement box has to be broken down.
  • Rooftop condensers. Common in dense neighbourhoods, and they mean rigging, sometimes a crane, and a roofing sign-off on any penetration.
  • Winter. Every outdoor condenser in this region needs low-ambient head pressure control. Boxes installed without it lose temperature every November and get misdiagnosed as low on refrigerant for years.
  • Triple-deckers and mixed-use buildings. Noise and after-hours access rules affect when we can realistically work.

Not on the list?

Say so on the phone. We will give you a straight answer about whether we can reach you within a useful time, and if we cannot we will say that rather than book you and turn up late. Seventeen towns is what we can genuinely serve properly.

Questions we get asked

Do you charge a travel fee to the outer ring?

No. The diagnostic is $185 whether you are in Chelsea or Framingham. What changes is the response time, and we publish that honestly rather than quietly adding a trip charge.

Can you get to a basement walk-in in the North End?

Yes. Tell us on the phone that it is a basement box and roughly what the stair access is like — it changes what we bring and saves a wasted visit.

Do you work outside Greater Boston?

Not currently. We would rather cover seventeen towns properly than claim seventy and miss response times in all of them.

Do you serve residential customers?

No. Commercial walk-in coolers and walk-in freezers only. If you have a home refrigerator problem we are not the right call and we will tell you so in the first thirty seconds.

Straight answers

What happens when you call

A person picks up, not a menu. We ask what the box is reading, what it sounds like, and whether product is at risk. If it is something you can check yourself in two minutes, we will tell you that on the phone rather than sell you a visit.
